Last weekend we had a Kids Community Garden Workshop initiated by the Mental Health Team from the UNICEF Young Leaders Programme and UCSI Psychology students. Had good fun getting the kids planting and growing in their existing garden beds! Hoping to see it flourish soon 🪴🪴🪴

We will be here tomorrow, come hang!

Reposting @kongsicoop:

Back in March this year, we collaborated with Langit in doing a documentary screening of “The Seed of Vandana Shiva”, as seed saving has been a topic we kept bringing up in our works at Kongsi Co-op. Through the documentary, we found stronger will to be a part of the movement. We have also invited Chia Yong Ling, one of our directors to share about seeds in our last Kongsi Idea.

This Sunday 23/7, “Seed” is the theme of our Recycle Day and Market. Bring your recycleables and join our sharing session to get to know more about why it is important to you too!

===================
Remember to bring your own shopping bag, food containers/cutleries/cups, extra bags (big or small) to bring home dry goods and the likes.

Please find your way to the parking area via Google Map: Kongsi Co-op Parking Space

Last month we went on a road tour with @iamcitizensetia and facilitated 18 edible gardening workshops in 18 locations in Selangor, Putrajaya, Wilayah Persekutuan, Johor Bahru & Penang, for 900 kids (and their parents)! We got them to plant 1,800 baby seedlings in total, to take home and care for; whilst both the humans and plants we impacted were small-sized, we hope they will all bring about big changes in the future 🌱

A big shout out to the latest member of our team, Nori, for putting this video together 💚💚💚
