About this workshop

A 2 hour theory + practical workshop on the topic of soil health, which will cover these aspects:
– What are soils and how they get their intrinsic (natural) properties
– What makes soils fertile, and
– What practices we can do to protect or increase soil fertility such as for our vegetable home gardens

This is part of our Grow Your Own Sayur In The City monthly workshop programme, which will take participants through important aspects of starting and maintaining their very own edible gardens.

About the Facilitator

Dr Christopher Teh is a senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia (Serdang campus at Selangor). His field of expertise is in crop modelling, environmental biophysics, and soil conservation. Learn more about his work at:
